'Noises Off', May 2017

Yes, we had some stellar shows, and some marvelous actors. But we could barely afford half the shoes needed for those actors.

Donate to ACT 1

You’ve got to admit--ACT 1 has had its ups and downs the past couple of years.

It’s the end of the year, and time for not-for-profits to do their end of the year ask for your hard-earned money. But unlike a lot of places, ACT 1 is asking for just $5.

I know, I know. You’re thinking, what can a measly $5 do?

Glad you asked.

  • If you pitched in just $5, ACT 1 could bribe a student to help out at strike with a Happy Meal.
  • If five of you pitched in $5, we could get a decent-ish wig for an actor.
  • If fifteen of you pitched in $5 each, we could pay a playwright for a night of theater.
  • If a full house pitched in an extra $5, ACT 1 could lease Darkhorse an extra weekend.
  • And if all our Facebook followers sent in $5, this little company could put on a whole show.

I know you’re thinking to yourself, “Self, if just $5 can go so far to support this awesome theater company, then maybe I should give $50, or $500, or $5000!” Simmer down, Self. People ask us all the time to donate vast sums of money, but ACT 1 really just wants to reach a big group of people willing to help out with a measly $5. Please don’t give us the keys to your lockbox, or the deed to your house.

A $5-er will do.

So please dig between the couch cushions, open the wallet, write the check, or click on the link below. You already know all the typical stuff about tax-deductible, not-for-profit, yada yada.

And thanks in advance for helping us bring you the best theater we can.

Sincerely,

Eric Ventress
ACT 1 Executive Director
